“Two things I love: good country music and island life! I’m beyond grateful to have both with Quahog Country. When I’m not on the air, you can spot me running on the beach with my dogs or playing my guitar. I love good food, good coffee and good conversation. I’m so proud to be a part of Nantucket’s first country music station!”

“I have always had a deep love of country music and am so excited to be a part of the island’s first ever country radio station! When I’m not on the air I’m most likely walking my dog around the island, or trying to paint pretty landscapes like Bob Ross (I have a ways to go!). Thanks for tuning in to Quahog Country, I hope you’re having as much fun listening as I am in the studio!”

Adam Dread

“Quahog Wild” Fridays 8-10pm

Adam Dread has been a fixture on Nantucket sine the early 1980s. At the time he was attending college at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee where he hosted a weekly radio show kind of like “Quahog Wild,” which he he now hosts on Quahog Country every Friday night from 8-10pm. Adam goes to the outer limits of country music to bring you the best of Rockabilly, Surfabilly, Cow Punk, and other guilty pleasures. In Nashville he hosted the award-winning “Man of Leisure Mornings on Lightning 100.

Adam keeps very busy on island and is painfully ubiquitous. He is one of the leaders of the Nantucket Clean Team, active in St. Pauls Episcopal Church, and on the Board of the Chamber. He has authored and published four volumes of the popular “You’ve Obvioulsy Spent Time on Nantucket If” book series, available on his merch site ManFromNantucket.com. In his spare time he plays with his cats, tools around in his boat, seduces women, and spends way too much time at Pudley’s Pub.
